Enjoying MG June 2016
The first event we attended in June was the Boughton Aluph fete on 11th June. 7 of our cars were on display. Luckily the the weather held off until the end when the heavens opened.
For the club night on 14th June we played boules. Normally it rains, so it was quite novel to play outside even if it was freezing cold! This was won by Bill & Pam, who received valuable Poundland medals.
On Sunday 19th June four of our cars went tot the Quex Park Classic Car Show. Certainly a good event with lots of classic cars and military vehicles. Even a First World War trench mock up and staged battles in the arena.
Events for August start with MG Car Club Summer Gathering at Chatham Dock yard on 7th August. Our club night is on 9th, which as it is during the holiday season will be a natter and noggin. Other events worth noting for August are George’s gymkhana on 14th and Whitstable Classic Car show on 21st.
Any other information concerning future events and entry forms can be obtained by visiting our new website, which is afmgoc.co.uk.
If you own an MG or are thinking of buying one then why not join your local regional group. We organise and attend various events throughout the season, which enhances the MG ownership experience as well as meeting like minded people. Come along to one of our meetings at the Halfway House on the second Tuesday of the month at 8.00pm.
