Enjoying MG July 2017
The weather has continued to be kind to us at least on the days when we have been out and about with our cars. This month has been another busy one. Some of the club attended The Whitstable show on the seafront for another blazing hot day. Approximately 400 cars came to show their classics. The South East clubs were invited to a run to Teston Lock
organised by Maidstone Club, not only was it a great run but it was good to meet members from other clubs. There was an award for the best car on the run, and the judge couldn't decide and it ended up as a 3 way tie between Graham Howard and myself from Ashford & Faversham and Kevin from Whitecliffs.
Sheldwych fete unfortunately was not as well attended as last year but a
great day had by all where another award was given for best car to Paul
Creigh. Our away night at "the Pilot' Dungeness was very well attended and successful. Despite the rain some of us met up for a leisurely meander through the country side, it was made all the more interesting by a huge stag that joined us along the route for a few hundred yards! The journey home would have been more suited to a boat!! Im sure you know by now that the Invicta is upon us and all our news will be in next months magazine. We also plan to attend Herne Bay this month which is another big and well attended show.
