Enjoying MG January 2016
I hope every body had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
Our Christmas meal took place on 12th December at the Halfway House at Challock and 17 people attended. The meal was up to the usual standard. Many thanks to the staff at the pub for laying on superb food with all the trimmings. The club also organised a raffle and with help from the pub staff in selling raffle tickets to everyone eating that night, raised an amazing total of £150, which we are sending to the Willesborough Hospice. Prizes were very varied and range from an MGOC clock to a travel rug, biscuits, chocolate and bottles of wine. Thanks to everyone for donating so generously.
By the time you read this we will have held our January AGM and have chosen the new committee. Hopefully we will have several new members elected to introduce some new ideas for venues, club runs etc.
It is again the club’s intention to hold the Invicta Run, which will probably take place on Sunday August 7th, All other clubs will be invited. Further details will be provided in the near future.
Not much else to report except that I would hope to have a provisional list of events proposed for 2016 at the February meeting.
