Enjoying MG April 2018
Hopefully now the snow has left us behind and been replaced with more sunny climates allowing those of us that are working on our cars to get out and continue the labour of love. This month found some of our brave members attending the very cold Goodwood Members Meeting. Marks
Memorial Run organised by Cliff Boulton in memory of his son was another fantastic day. The weather was kind to us, and Cliff's hard work was paid off as 36 cars took off in pursuit of his cryptic clues, and to find buried treasure. First place was awarded to Warren & Lisa Johnson & family, Followed by Steve, Joanne & Holly Anne Budd and coming in third were club members George & Ros Homewood, last place was picked up yet again by club members Mike & Sue Smart who took home the much coveted statue of a curvaceous lady appropriately named "Booby" if ever there is a reason to come last this most certainly is it! The start and finish took place at Sandyacres Sports Club who supplied yet another splendid buffet lunch. A raffle was also organised by Cliffs granddaughter Eve, and currently a magnificent £740 has been raised for The Pilgrims Hospice. If you haven't taken part before its well worth putting on the motoring calendar, all cars are welcome not just MG's or classics. Well done Cliff, we look forward to the next one! The next few weeks will find some of us going to The Festival of Steam and Transport at The Historic Dockyard Chatham which is always a fabulous show, hopefully the weather holds up! Drive It day will also take place at the end of the month. We look forward to seeing you all on our travels.
